New Tech allows for students to collaborate to create a final product. New Tech uses project based learning so students can grow from learning outcomes and show a growth mindset. The goal is to change the way of learning with a better point of view of learning that will also teach the students important life skills. New Tech is also like a job, you work with your group members to complete the assignment and if a member doesn’t collaborate, they receive a warning. If a student receives three warnings, they will get fired from the group. Students also grow as they progress to more advanced and forward-thinking projects. They learn respect, Trust and Responsibility. There are also certain norms set in the classroom such as ‘’Share the air’’ or ‘’Showing Pride’’. Share the air means to let another person speak and to listen to the person when they want to give their personal opinions. Showing pride means to be proud and show great pleasure for your work. Students are also graded through agency, collaboration, knowledge and thinking and oral and written communication.
